I am a freelance photographer specialising in Theatre and Event Photography as well as Portraiture. Prior to this I spent almost four years based at the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon producing material for displays, brochures, flyers and postcards as well as images for the news media and the RSC's website. This work included many special commissions behind the scenes and more than 40 RSC Productions. Photographing almost exclusively with digital equipment has given my images added flexibility and new possibilities for creative use. The savings on cost with no material waste, along with quick turnaround times are also significant factors for my clients. In addition to photography I offer a design service particularly aimed at performance/event marketing and production. I work with digital imaging software to create print ready files that can easily be reproduced for clients. My aim is to produce images that offer an immediate connection between the subject and the audience - whether it's a simple black and white picture ‘in the moment’, or many hours of planning, design and digital manipulation.
